I have special interest in working with people who suffer from or have experienced stress, anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma/PTSD, grief, loss, self-esteem/self-worth, and anger issues. I also welcome and respect different diversities and cultural backgrounds (specifically First Nations), as well as, I am trained and ally with LGBTQ2S+ community members.
I am skilled and trained in the delivery of evidence-based therapies, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye-Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) and am a Grief Recovery Specialist with the Grief Recovery Institute. I have completed and use Level 1 and 2 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy in my work with couples.
Tom Ho - Registered Provisional Psychologist
I have experience working with children/teens (12+), individual adults, couples, and families, supporting them through challenges such as anxiety, ADHD, depression, grief/loss, cultural identity concerns, men’s mental health, relationship challenges, stress, trauma, and sports and performance management. I work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and take a client-centered, strengths-based approach to therapy.
I integrate Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Existential Therapy, Logotherapy, Narrative Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy to support clients in navigating life’s challenges. My approach is tailored to each person’s needs, helping them gain clarity, build resilience, and move toward personal growth.
I offer therapy in English and Chinese and value a culturally informed perspective. As someone who immigrated to Canada from Hong Kong at a young age, I understand the complexities of adjusting to new environments and balancing cultural identities.
